GG&G has a history of manufacturing aking high quality accessories for tactical weapons including shotguns and military rifles. Although simple in design the GG&G Shotgun Front Sling Attachment provides the shooter with a tactical advantage in adverse conditions.
We developed and designed the tactical shotgun sling mount for several important reasons. First of all, current tactical applications for utilizing a sling on shoulder mounted combat weapons requires mounting said sling to the side of the combat shotgun. This aids in satisfying one of the critical factors in this equation, the ability to make a smooth, rapid and safe transition to the service sidearm. The Front Sling attachment is ambidextrous.
In addition, experience has demonstrated that the use of sling clamps that go around both the barrel and magazine extension tube of a fighting shotgun will spread the barrel and tube by varying amounts, depending upon how much tension is applied to the clamps retaining screw. As this is difficult to gauge, the gun's zero will change every time the clamp is removed for maintenance and then reinstalled.
The GG&G Shotgun Front Sling Attachment prevent this from happening. The GG&G sling mount will fit the Remington 870 1100 and 1187 shotguns as well as the Mossberg 590. In all applications the sling mount is fully ambidextrous. Many competing products are manufactured from insubstantial stamped sheet metal and have rather sharp edges that not only can cut the sling, but can cut the operator as well.
GG&G sling swivels are machined in our facility from AS-35 Geneva steel. Of exceptionally high quality, this famous Swiss steel features molecular structure with elongated grains for added toughness. The corners have been rounded and dehorned for the operator's safety, bead blasted and then manganese phosphated matte black per mil-spec. A ball bearing detent on the Sling Attachment helps secure the unit behind the magazine tubes end cap.
